Environment Canada issues extreme cold warning for Southeastern Alberta
MEDICINE HAT, AB. – Environment Canada issued an extreme cold warning for many areas in Southern Alberta this Boxing Day.
The extreme cold can be dangerous, and is expected to continue to the end of the week.
If people are outside, Environment Canada warns about exposure to the cold. Watch for cold related symptoms: shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.
The extreme cold can increase a persons risk of frostbite and hypothermia.
