DRAYTON VALLEY, AB — Three people, including a Medicine Hat man, are facing numerous charges after a stolen vehicle fled from police and crashed into trees in Drayton Valley.

According to a news release from Alberta Crime Report and the RCMP, the Thorsby/Breton RCMP located a stolen truck in the Buck Lake area on Saturday. The truck was followed by an unmarked police vehicle before it parked on a residential street in Drayton Valley. RCMP officers from Thorsby/Breton and Drayton Valley, along with police dog services, blocked the vehicle in, but it fled the scene, backing up through trees and damaging a parked civilian vehicle and an unmarked police car.

The truck eventually crashed into more trees, and the three people in the vehicle fled on foot. RCMP officers and police dogs were able to locate and arrest the three without incident. All three were taken into custody on outstanding warrants and they were charged with new offences.

He was remanded into custody.

Levi Rain, also of Buck Lake, was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and breach of recognizance. He was also remanded into custody.
