CALGARY — Symons Valley Ranch was destroyed by a fire early Thursday morning.
Firefighters were called out to the site at 6 a.m. and found the structure completely engulfed in flames. Due to the size of the fire, a second alarm was immediately triggered.
The Calgary Fire Department said no injuries were reported as a result of the fire. Approximately 40 residents from a nearby neighbourhood were evacuated due to the smoke from the fire.
The building is home to a farmers’ market and other businesses.
