A quote from a MoMondays audience member sums it up pretty darn good, “We were overcrowded and hot, but we didn’t care!”

Here’s the synopsis and contact information for our August 12, 2013 Motivational Mondays.

Another sold-out, standing room only crowd was wildly entertained by local musician Ken Pinchin, you can take a listen to this whimsical little tune here:  https://soundcloud.com/ken-pinchin/lulu-and-the-moon

For more information about Ken’s musical talents:  http://www.manitobamusic.com/kenpinchin

Fun, fun, fun – great, original music from Ken.

Alyson Hindle, PhD was  last remaining women in a group of only 12 for the Canadian astronaut recruiting program, she shared what it was like to go through the gruelling selection process and what she learned from the job she didn’t get.

Ultra-marathoner , tri-athlete and life coach Ryan Anderson had me tired just reading his introduction.  This guy has done some incredible things and his story of traveling down different roads in life to where its brought him was inspiring for everyone to hear. He has completed ultra marathons, ran and biked across Canada, carried the Olympic Torch and overcame and learned through all the obstacles along the way.  He talked about the The Road Less Traveled and encourage the audience to take one small action step with them. One step towards a goal on their road less traveled.

I’m getting a bit of a reputation for getting people to lift their shirts!

Former NFL/CFL offensive linebacker Kelly Butler views the world as being filled with oppurtunities rather than obstacles. This 6’8″  gent’s appraoch is trying to see the good not the bad in any situation. In having the right mind set and an action plan Anything is Possible . Having the confidence to approach life in a more positive way was Kelly’s message. Impressed by the big bear hug he gave me, people stood in line for a hug from him!

Kelly’s da man!

Jackie Desrochers’ message was  the more you put into achieving your goals, the more successful you will be. She shared a story about how she lost more than 20lbs by continuously checking in on her goal, updating her plan and inceasing the amount of difficulty in my exercise routine and creating better habits to healthy eating.

Seriously funny!

Joyce Odidison is a Conflict Analyst, Interpersonal Wellness Expert and Coach, she spent her birthday with us!  Do we really appreciate the impact on the world when a baby is born? Imagine a world without some of the bad people like Hitler we compare our foes to and tell our children they shouldn’t emulate? What about the good ones like Jesus, Aristotle, Martin Luther and the reformers who positively impacted our world? It is our destiny to do something great but in order to really appreciate our impact we need a jumping off point. Birthdays are milestones and they separate our lives into life chapters so we can close the door on the things past in previous chapters and open the door to things to come in the new chapters.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Anders Boulanger  shared with the audience two mo-magic effects. Through these demonstrations the audience will learn a little something about themselves and what is possible by being present and “in the moment”.

Ander’s magic!

We made the city paper, so that’s always fun!  MoMondays 2013 -WFP article,  and did a few ‘waves’ that rivalled any NHL arena crowd!

Leading the wave!

And of course there was me, your ticket taker, host, producer, and bathroom attendant. I so appreciated this heart rimmed hat that one of the guest made for me.

Ain’t it a cute cap!

I hope you can tell what fun we had – don’t miss the next event. MoMondays are popping up in cities everywhere. Tickets are on sale now for the September 16, 2013 Winnipeg event here: http://momondays.com/event-registration/?ee=81

Special thanks to Ervin Bartha from www.clearlightsound.com for the skilled videography and to Kayla Pottinger for the great photos, and of course Sam’s Place for hosting us so perfectly!

Keep Mo-Motivated!  Steph 🙂
