Medicine Hat a haven for haunted house fans

MEDICINE HAT, AB – There’s no shortage of haunted houses in and around Medicine Hat to get your chills and thrills over the next few days.

A long-time favourite, the Silver Buckle Haunted House is open Oct. 28, 29 and 31 from 7-10 p.m.for adults and a toned-down version for kids is open Oct. 28 and 29 from 2-4 p.m. Admission is $10 or $8 with a non-perishable food item. Proceeds go to the Root Cellar and other community causes.

Safety City on the Stampede grounds becomes Spooky City Oct. 27-31 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Admission is $5. Proceeds will go toward Safety City programming.

The Haunted Greenhouse, at 305 Second St. SW in Redcliff, is open 6-11 p.m. on Oct. 28 and 29, 6-10 p.m. Oct. 30 and 5 p.m. to midnight on Halloween. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids 12 and under and $25 for a family of four. From each admission, $1 will go to HALO Air Ambulance.

The Glass House Haunting is at 332 Fourth St. SE in Redcliff. It will run 5-10 p.m. on Oct. 28, 29 and 31. Admission is $5 or $3 with a non-perishable food item. Passes for a family of four are $15. Proceeds will go to the Root Cellar and Redcliff Youth Centre.

Bounce of Fun Haunted House is open 6:30-9:30 p.m. until Halloween at 821 Industrial Ave. SE. There is also a kids matinee from 2-5 p.m. on Oct. 29 and 30. Admission is $10. Proceeds will support Medicine Hat Ringette Association.

In Veinerville, a Nightmare on Cartwright haunted house is open 7-11 p.m. on Oct 29 and 30 and 5-11 p.m. on Oct. 31. Admission is a non-perishable food or basic necessity item. Proceeds will go to the Root Cellar and upkeep of the haunted house.
