Former Oyen employee facing charges in water sample case

OYEN, AB — A former employee with the Town of Oyen is facing charges under the province’s Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act.

The province announced Wednesday that Darcy Dobrosky, 59, is facing four charges under the act in relation to his duties as a water and wastewater operator.

Dobrosky is charged with two counts of knowingly providing false or misleading information and two counts of failure to monitor potable water.

The alleged offences took place between April 1 2009 and March 8, 2016.
