Town of Taber to end state of local emergency on Tuesday

TABER, AB — The Town of Taber will be lifting its state of local emergency within the town on Tuesday.

According to a news release, crews have established berms and pumping locations and have brought water levels down to a level not considered a threat.

The town remains in close contact with the Municipal District of Taber, who are still under a state of local emergency, and is prepared to assist them if requested.

The situation will continue to be monitored by the town, and the public will be informed if the situation changes.

Residents are reminded to remain vigilant and make sure drainage areas on their properties are cleared and that water is able to flow to drains properly.
