Emergency Alert issued for M.D. of Taber due to overland flooding

M.D. OF TABER – An Emergency Alert was issued at 3:23 pm on Saturday April 14th for the Municipal District of Taber due to overland flooding.

Alberta Emergency Alert said there is a large amount of water travelling across the land, leading to localized flooding near roads and intersections.

Taber RCMP have reopened Highway 36, north of the Old Man River and Highway 864.Both were closed last night due to overland flooding.

There are many other roads in the M.D. may have flooding and be impassable for drivers. There may not barricade put in place to deter drivers, take caution if travelling through the area. Watch for water on the road and avoid those areas.
