MEDICINE HAT, AB — After a four-year career of Hat High Kwahommies basketball, Rhiannon Ware is switching out her green-and-white silks for black-and-gold.

The Grade 12 veteran, who averaged a team-high 16.1 points per game in South Zone play last year, has committed to the Medicine Hat College Rattlers, and plans to make her college debut this upcoming fall.

Ware is the newest addition to a Rattlers club that made its first CCAA Nationals appearance in 10 years last month. In joining the pack, the 17-year-old also reunites with several former teammates as well.

Mitch Bach of CHAT Sports caught up with Ware to learn why she chose to sign with the Rattlers, what she hopes to accomplish in her first season in ACAC play, her off-season training plans, and how she’ll adjust to a completely new role at Medicine Hat College.

Ware and the rest of the Rattlers will get a first-hand glimpse at other college hopefuls this weekend, hosting a women’s basektball ID Camp from April 13-15 at the Medicine Hat College.
