Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – April 9

Apr 9, 2018 | 8:08 AM

Happy Hatter
It must be spring as I’m seeing a geese couple along River Road, the gophers, and more deer.

Mad Hatter
This snow is making me ridiculously angry. It’s April. ENOUGH.

Mad Hatter
Just reading the CBC article about blue bin contamination. Vancouver requires it to be sorted there for less contamination.  Aren’t we currently sorting it when we take it down to the recycling areas in town? Are the blue bins going to cause more contamination?

Happy Hatter
Love the fresh roasted coffee beans on third street.  Can’t get much fresher.  People don’t realize when a tin of ground coffee is opened it starts to go stale and shouldn’t be used after two weeks.

Mad Hatter
Medicine Hat needs more taxis, even if only allowed to be used on weekend nights/during bad weather/events like stampede/etc. I ordered a cab, not to a bar, at 1:28am on a Sunday morning. It took 45 minutes.

Happy Hatter
Happy to see the Alberta government move to make a law for buffer zones for protestors around women’s health clinics and the homes of doctors and staff who work in these clinics. It is horrible to hear that “prolife” protestors sometimes resort to violence, threats, and hateful behaviour towards clients and staff.

Happy Hatter
Happy to be seeing double digits in the forecast. I am hoping this is the last of the terrible weather.

Mad Hatter
Potholes in the city are awful! I wonder if paving the roads during heavy snow and ice periods of the winter would help solve this issue as the highways don’t seem to be riddled with as many.
