Taber State of Emergency Continues

Apr 3, 2018 | 2:20 PM

The Town of Taber continues to closely monitor overland flooding in the area.

A state of local emergency was declared on March 28th because of concerns the water treatment plant could be impacted.

The State of Emergency remains in effect.

Crews continued to work over the weekend to alleviate flooding concerns and clear drainage areas.

This work will continue until the flooding has subsided.

Berms and pumping locations are being established on the south side of town.

There has been no reports of flooding in residential areas but residents are being asked to check their property and ensure drainage areas are cleared.

The Town says there is no need to restrict water use or boil water at this time.
