Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – Mar 19

Mad Hatter
I would like to know where these new businesses are the mayor and councillors were talking about at election time? Or was it a fake promise to get elected! All I’ve seen is fast food restaurants and Tims! Where are the new businesses? Or is this in the 30 year planning you have talked about?

Mad Hatter
Some people are just so rude – they think the world revolves around them and think everyone should drop what they are doing just to work around their schedule! Those kinds of people need a smack.

Mad Hatter
When people don’t know the difference between too, to and two. It really shouldn’t be so complicated!

Happy Hatter
My awesome boyfriend is a great cook, feeds me delicious stuff. Good thing he is a good cook because I am not. If cooking was left up to me I’d probably never see him again. Slop anyone lol.

Mad Hatter
Too many families, including my own, are only a “family” when it’s convenient or a holiday/birthday. A family should be family 365 days a year, not once a month or on a holiday and then no contact until the next one. It goes both ways, I’m done trying.

Mad Hatter
BC protesting the pipeline is ridiculous. It has been federally approved already so, get over it.

Mad Hatter

Three giant garbage bins now, all being picked up weekly, spring to late fall?  I question the city department that thought this up.  If someone has that much waste than they should be charged extra, don’t punish those that don’t.  We recycle actively and are able to fill our black bin a little over half in two weeks.  We have had up to five people living at our household at the time.  If the city wants residents to recycle, cut down black bin garbage pickups. Many cities already have biweekly pickup or black bins a third of the size Medicine Hat does.

Mad Hatter
Annoyed with NDP propaganda. The Fort Mac fire could have been minimized if the NDP didn’t cut the funds that sent firefighting airplanes looking elsewhere for work. Also, using the falling oil prices as an excuse for our economy. While it has contributed to the fall, it is the NDP policies that has kept us down.

Happy Hatter
Impressed to see a number of women training to become police officers. Girl power! Best of luck to all the cadets.

Mad Hatter

It is ridiculous that junior and high school students are being bused by the school division.  There is public transit available to use.   These kids are old enough to babysit and drive vehicles but the division buses them?

Mad Hatter
For all those who throw their cigarette butts on other people’s property, on roads, in parking lots, out your window while driving: it is not ok to treat your neighbor’s property or your city like your own personal ashtray.

Happy Hatter
It is about time the school is looking at privatization of before and after school care.  Although this service is much needed, it isn’t the school’s responsibility to care for kids during these times.  Like any other times parents need childcare, before kids are school age, evening, non-school days, parents are required to pay for care outside the school system.

Mad Hatter
Local fitness centre is great but I wish the group fitness price included the fitness centre as well.  Instead, I either pay extra for fitness classes for the monthly facilities pass, or I pay a lot more for there “plus pass”. I don’t want the pool, just the fitness centre and the fitness classes.
