OKOTOKS, AB – Plenty of hustle and determination from the SEAC Midget 15 Tigers on Saturday night, ending their season on a high note at the Sutter South Cup.

Playing their final game of the round-robin against CRAA Blue out of Calgary, the 1-2 Tigers already had their fate sealed heading into the game, failing to qualify for the consolation finals.

Calgary got out to a 2-0 lead early in the first period with goals from Anderson O’Connor and Cole Mook, taking that lead into the first intermission.

SEAC struck back within the first minute of the second period however, with AP call-up Mason Mowat pulling the Tigers within one goal.

Responding with an AP goal of their own, CRAA found the back of the net just over three minutes later from Owen MacNeil to make it 3-1.

Late in the second period though SEAC was able to get into a rhythm offensively, scoring back-to-back goals from Kobyn Fritz and Ty Olinski in the span of less than a minute to tie the game at 3-3.

Calgary re-took the lead 6:55 into the third period from Jack Karpyshyn, which looked like it would hold as the eventual game-winner.

The Tigers still had some fight in their last game of the season though, tying up the game once again with 4:56 left from Cam Hall.

That would be it for scoring on Saturday, with both teams settling for a 4-4 tie.

Starter Nate Hoffman had a strong showing in his final game of the season for the Tigers, making 29 saves in the tie.

Ending their tournament with a 1-2-1 record, the Tigers now head to the off-season hoping to bring a few players from this year’s Bantam AAA roster into the fold for the 2018-19 season.
