MEDICINE HAT, AB — The City of Medicine Hat is looking for feedback from the public on its current work to enhance signage in school and playground zones.

The city is currently conducting trials on potential enhancements to school and playground signage around the city, seeing if they will increase driver awareness and compliance in school and playground zones.

Last August, the city installed school zone signs in the middle of the road near Ecole Les Cypres and Notre Dame Academy. Playground symbols have also been painted on the roadways near other schools, and electronic speed signs have also been installed in school and playground zones in the cities, and speed data is currently being collected.

The city is looking for residents to provide feedback on their experiences in these zones, and the results will be used to guide the city on the next enhancements to signage.
