The Medicine Hat Rotary Music Festival, now in its 63rd year, gets underway Sunday afternoon. The festival features children from Medicine Hat and around the region performing for judges and adjudicators to receive feedback and potentially advance to provincial competitions.

The festival features several disciplines, including vocal, speech, musical theatre, guitar, piano and string instruments.

Vocalists will take the stage in the Medicine Hat College Theatre, with two sessions from 1-4 p.m. and 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

All performances in the festival are open to the public to attend.

The top performers of the festival will compete on March 16 at 7 p.m. at the Rose Bowl, also at the College Theatre. The winner of the Rose Bowl will be revealed on March 18 during the Stars of the Festival concert.
