Voting underway for Alberta Party leadership

EDMONTON, AB — The province will learn who will be the next leader of the Alberta Party on Tuesday.

Voting for the leader by members of the party got underway on Sunday, and will continue until 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Results will be known soon after at an event at the Oasis Centre in Edmonton.

The leadership race was started after former leader Greg Clark announced he was stepping down last November.

Calgary-South East MLA Rick Fraser, Calgary lawyer Kara Levis and former Edmonton Mayor Stephen Mandel are all seeking the leadership of the party.

Voting is being conducted through a preferential online ballot. Members have received a link to the webpage for voting and a PIN allowing them to vote. Anyone who is having trouble voting or haven’t received their pin are asked to call the Voter Help Line at 1-888-281-8683.
