MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers host a Kootenay ICE team hanging on to their playoff lives on Tuesday night.

The ICE have struggled since the turn of the new year, losing 10 of their last 12 games. They now sit two points behind Red Deer, for the last playoff spot in the Central Division. The Rebels show no signs of slowing down either, having won 11 of their last 14 games. This coming after Red Deer dropped 30 of 32 contests.

Medicine Hat leads the season series against Kootenay 3-2-0, but the ICE have managed to pick up at least a point in three of five match ups. Kootenay has struggled at the Canalta Centre, dropping two of three contests, being outscored 18-6. That includes an 11-1 setback to the Tigers back on October 20th.

The Tabbies are coming off a big come-from-behind 4-3 overtime win over the Broncos Saturday. Ryan Jevne led the way with two goals, including the game winner. Swift Current blew a 3-1 lead with just under five minutes remaining, it was the Tigers first win over the Broncos this season.

With the Lethbridge Hurricanes now just one point back of Medicine Hat in the Central Division, the Tigers need every point they can get. The Hurricanes have rattled off three straight wins and have a game in hand on the Tigers.

The ICE play three of their next six games against Medicine Hat, starting tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the Canalta Centre.
