MEDICINE HAT, AB — The city’s Parks and Recreation Department is reminding trail users to use caution as many trails in the city are still icy.

The department says due to erratic thawing and freezing weather conditions, the trail system is still quite icy in several spots. Crews have been sanding and maintaining trails to the best of their ability.

The city adds due to heavy snowfall and blowing snow, the Ross Glen and East Glen trails will have limited removal due to dangerous and icy conditions for crews.

Residents are advised to avoid icy sections whenever they can and be careful when out on trails.
