RCMP arrest Alberta man facing 63 charges in four communities

OLDS, AB — A 44-year-old man facing more than 60 charges in four communities has been arrested in Olds.

Morgan Stephen Winter was arrested by the Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Team on Tuesday. At the time of his arrest, he was facing 63 charges in Olds, Innisfail, Didsbury and Calgary.

Winter’s charges include theft of vehicle, uttering forged documents, possession of stolen property under $5,000, identity fraud, forgery, theft of vehicle and breach of probation.

He remains in custody and appears in Didsbury Provincial Court on Friday.

The Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Team (SACRT) is a newly formed team of RCMP officers aimed at targeting known offenders and reducing crime in Southern Alberta.
