MHPS responding to several collisions already during winter storm

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Police Service is reminding residents to drive with caution due to the winter weather.

As of 11 a.m. Thursday morning, officers have responded to three collisions in the city.

Only minor injuries have been reported from the collisions.

Sgt. Clarke White with the Medicine Hat Police Service’s Traffic Unit says they anticipate the number of collisions to increase throughout the day, as officers respond to more collisions during the afternoon.

The Medicine Hat Police Service Traffic Unit is conducting a Twitter ride along all day Thursday to give residents insight into what officers deal with during winter storms.
