NEW YORK CITY, NY – A 30-year-old Canadian indoor track record came crashing down over the weekend, with Sage Watson etching her name in the record books once again.

On Saturday, the Seven Persons product posted a time of 37.08 seconds in the women’s 300 metre event at the 111th Milrose Games in New York.

Watson shattered Jillian Richardson’s time of 37.17 seconds, which was the Canadian 300 metre record set in 1988.

Now a dual-record holder, Watson broke the NCAA Division I record in the 500 metre distance at the 2017 Armoury Invitational.

Turning professional last year, Watson won gold at the 2017 NCAA Track and Field Championships in the 400 metre hurdles, and won back-to-back golds in her first two professional races.
