MEDICINE HAT, AB — The first-ever military tattoo in Medicine Hat has been delayed by a year.

The Kiwanis Military Tattoo committee released a statement today saying the Medicine Hat Military Tattoo, scheduled for May 5, has been postponed. The committee says the reason for the cancellation was due to prior commitments for many of the bands participating this year.

The event has been deferred to May or June 2019, and the committee is working to secure participation of the bands.

All tickets purchased up to January 31, 2018 will be refunded through the original point of purchase, and the committee apologizes for the deferral.

Planning for the 2019 event is underway.
