Injured men rescued from Vancouver-area mountain after altercation: police
VANCOUVER — Police say two men have been taken to hospital with apparent knife wounds after an altercation while they were winter camping together on a mountain north of Vancouver.
North Vancouver RCMP say emergency responders were called to Mount Seymour shortly after 5 a.m. on Thursday after receiving reports of an injured hiker or camper near a snowshoe trail.
Emergency services found the man about 1,000 metres from the ski hill’s parking lot on the mountain.
At 8:30 a.m., police received a second call from a man in the same area saying he was injured and required medical help.
