KELOWNA, BC — For the second time in less than a week, the Kelowna Rockets had the Medicine Hat Tigers number.

The B.C. Division leaders collected goals from five different players, rookie Brodan Salmond made 31 saves, and the Rockets completed a season sweep over the Tabbies with a 5-2 win at Prospera Place on Tuesday night.

This comes four days separated from the Rockets 4-3 OT victory in Medicine Hat, completed off a winning goal by captain Cal Foote.

Foote opened the scoring on Tuesday, while Leif Mattson, Carsen Twarynski, Kole Lind, and Dillon Dube also lit the lamp. Dube, a first-round selection for the Calgary Flames from last year, notched a pair of helpers along with Foote.

Dave Quenneville notched the Tigers first goal of the night, his 21st of the season to strengthen his lead in the WHL defenceman scoring race to four goals over Regina Pats Josh Mahura and two points ahead of Kale Clague of the Moose Jaw Warriors.

Dawson Heathcote collected the other goal for the Tigers. Ryan Jevne and James Hamblin rounded out the Tigers scoresheet with solo assists.

Jordan Hollett was busy between the pipes making 39 saves on 43 shots for the Tigers. Dube scored an empty netter to seal the Rockets third straight win over the Tigers and improve the Rockets record to 32-14-3-1.

Medicine Hat, which leads the Central Division with a record of 26-20-6-0, has now dropped six of the last eight, and will look to return to the win column Wednesday night in Kamloops.
