Mad Hatter
It makes me mad to see how awful some people’s grammar and spelling is. So many adults nowadays don’t seem to be able to form a proper sentence. Even something as simple as punctuation seems lost on the masses.

To the person saying that we should expect ice in winter – clearly you have never experienced winter in a proper city. Although I understand your sentiment, the point wasn’t that we want summer in January. The point is that not enforcing a fine for people who don’t properly remove the snow and ice from their sidewalks, or the businesses that don’t properly salt the ice in their parking lots is properly dangerous. It’s as simple as that. I’ve lived all across Canada and every city I have been in has done a better job implementing snow removal than Medicine Hat. I can assure you I am a long way from needing a walker and if at my age I have to complain about how unsafe I feel walking around the city, then there is a problem. Winter is one thing. Snow is one thing… but when proper snow removal options are available and simply not being taken, yes, we can blame the city.

Happy Hatter
Spent the weekend exploring different buildings downtown. It’s nice to experience the history of the Hat in the old architecture.

That there still a debate on community mail boxes. Not sure what the big deal is. So, we have to leave our house to go and get it. You can’t tell us that you don't leave your house sometime during the week to pay bills, go shopping or go visiting. Surely, sometime someone has to come and visit you. Rural people have to drive to nearest town to get their mail.

Mad Hatter
People tailgating when the roads are so bad. Relax, back off and drive safe. I’m not driving exactly 50 to piss you off. I am doing it because I know the roads are icy as I almost slid through two corners today.

Happy Hatter
Happy we got snow on the weekend! Fresh powder for skiing is always a plus!
