Canadian Alex Harvey wins silver in cross-country World Cup ski race
SEEFELD, Austria — Canadian cross-country skier Alex Harvey won silver in the men’s 15-kilometre mass start Sunday in the final World Cup before the Olympic Games.
The 29-year-old Harvey battled to his third medal of the season, finishing with a time of 31 minutes, 39.3 seconds.
“The races started our really fast so that first lap was hard,” said Harvey. “I was feeling really tired after the last few weeks of training and thought ‘oh boy, this could be a long day.’
“After the first lap, things started slowing down and I was able to pace myself. It turned out to be a really good day.”
