Scott Moe selected as the new leader of the Saskatchewan Party

SASKATOON, SK.  – Scott Moe was selected to replace Brad Wall as the new leader of the Saskatchewan Party and the Premier of Saskatchewan.

Moe will be the 15th premier for the province.

He won the member vote at the leadership convention by with 53.87 percent support (8,075 votes).

Candidates are required to obtain more than 50 percent of the vote to be declared the winner.

Brad Wall’s former deputy minister, Alanna Koch was the runner-up obtaining 46.13 percent of the members support (6914 votes).

Moe will lead the party in the next provincial election scheduled for 2020.
