Senior varsity Mohawks victorious to start second half of season

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat High School Mohawks started the second half of their season on a high note Tuesday night.

Taking on the Chinook High School Coyotes in Lethbridge, the Mohawks battled hard, coming away with a 92-70 victory.

Five members of the Mohawks had double digit games on Tuesday. Parker Davidson led the way for the Mohawks with 19 points, while Ben Menesho had 14 points. Eidan Jonker and Bailey Gosse each had 11 points, and Reece Mulder scored 10 points.

Haroon Ahmed led the Coyotes with 17 points for his team, followed by Boe Clarkson with 12.

It was a different story for the Junior Varsity squad Tuesday night, as the Coyotes were victorious 71-55.

Carter Atwood scored 14 points for the Coyotes in the victory. Gabriel Baldovinos led the Mohawks with 10 points through the game.

The Mohawks return to action Saturday, travelling to Magrath to take on the Zeniths. The junior varsity team plays at 6 p.m., while the senior team plays at 8 p.m.
