Power outage Tuesday afternoon briefly impacts city

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The City of Medicine Hat says two-thirds or electric service customers were affected by a brief power outage Tuesday afternoon.
According to a news release from the city, work being done at a substation caused the power outage, which was felt in downtown, Southridge, Ross Glen, the Flats and northeast Crescent Heights.
The root cause of the outage is under investigation.
All customers had their power restored in 10 minutes.
