Hounds win third straight game on Saturday

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Can Pak Environmental Hounds won their third straight game of the season over the weekend.

Taking on the Olds Grizzlys, the Hounds came out strong and never gave up the lead, winning 6-3 at the Kinplex on Saturday.

Dax Waldner had a hat trick for the Hounds through the game, while Brett Gray scored two goals and Austin Klimosko started things off with a single goal.

Jacob Milne and Peyton Cox each had two assists through the game.

For the Grizzlys, Dane Bennett-Nimijean had two goals, while Brendan McBride had one. Sam Kolke recorded a pair of assists.

The Hounds outshot the Grizzlys 43-25, with goaltender Dawsen Savage making 22 saves.

The Hounds now sit in fourth place in the SCAHL South Conference with with a 12-9 record. They hit the road this weekend for a pair of games. The team battles the Red Deer Elks Saturday at 5 p.m., and faces the West Central Tigers Sunday at 3 p.m.
