MEDICINE HAT, AB — The man charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Brenda Woloski in 2016 has pleaded not guilty.

Noah Harrison Bentley, 27, made a brief appearance in Medicine Hat Court of Queen’s Bench Friday morning for a scheduled arraignment.

Wearing a blue prison jumpsuit, Bentley sat in the prisoner’s box, where the charge was formally read out in court.

“I plead not guilty, Your Honour,” Bentley told the court.

Woloski, 53, was found dead at a home in the 800 Block of Third Street SE on November 12, 2016. The cause of Woloski’s death has not been made public. Bentley was arrested the same day.

A judge and jury trial has been set for November 5, 2018, and is scheduled to run for nine days in Medicine Hat.
