Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – Jan 11

Mad Hatter
At how many people are too lazy to clear sidewalks of snow and slush before it freezes! Lawsuit just waiting to happen if someone falls.

Mad Hatter
That nurses’ uniforms are looking more and more like yoga and track pants. When did nurses start looking so unprofessional? First the hair, nails and makeup now the uniforms.

Mad Hatter
Frustrated about people complaining about Carbon Tax.  You have choices a) move where carbon tax isn’t implemented, and they don’t plan to implement something similar b) accept it is here to stay.  It isn’t going anywhere in the near future.  Just like GST, it is it here to stay.

Happy Hatter
So Happy to see the city going ahead with the recycling bins in our neighbourhoods.

Happy Hatter
Loving the recycling program and trust my city has gone through all the options and figured out the best way to implement it with charges and schedules.

Mad Hatter
Mad that Medicine Hat doesn’t plow all the streets. Other cities and towns I have lived in clear all streets. I’d pay more taxes if it meant the streets are safer to drive on as packed snow is slippery and often times turns into ice.

Happy Hatter
It’s amazing how many people complain about paying taxes and service fees here in the Hat. We pay 5% GST. We have extremely low Utilities and Car Insurance prices. I am happy to be living in Medicine Hat where the cost of living is equal to the wage I am receiving. And yes, taxes and service fees and utilities will go up in price but that goes along with simply every other product in the world. Rates rise.

Mad Hatter
Whoever designed the new intersection downtown at 3rd street and South Railway is an absolute moron. It took me 7 minutes (I timed it!) to make a right hand turn today on my way home. I’ve never lived in a city with more dysfunctional road and intersection planning than Medicine Hat.

Mad Hatter
Hopefully this isn’t true, but rumor has it that the glass that the City takes in from Hatters for recycling at the various recycling depots gets dumped in a pile at the transit building then taken to the landfill. So much for being environmentally aware! If this is true, Medicine Hat should be ashamed of it. We think we are helping by recycling and it winds up going to the dump?????
