EDMONTON, AB — The Canada Food Inspection Agency has announced a recall of multiple sandwiches made by an Edmonton company due to listeria concerns.

The agency initially announced 19 sandwiches made by HQ Fine Foods in Edmonton were being recalled due to potential listeria contamination. On Thursday, another 17 products were added to the recall list.

The sandwiches are sold under the brand names Best Value, Fresh and Local, Hygaard, Made to Go, Quality Fast Foods, Quality Fast Foods Classics and The Snack Co. A full list of affected products can be found here.

The agency says food contaminated with listeria may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness. Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk.
