Man charged with voyeurism facing child pornography charge

MEDICINE HAT, AB — A 24-year-old Medicine Hat man already facing voyeurism charges is now facing a child pornography charge.

According to information provided by the court, Davis Eichendorf has been charged in a separate case with one count of possession of child pornography. The charge was laid on December 12.

Eichendorf was arrested on November 11 by Medicine Hat police, and is facing three charges of voyeurism and three charges of trespassing at night.

Police say a man was allegedly spotted looking at a woman in a bathroom through a window in the 4000 block of 13th Avenue Southeast on August 31. The man was not located at the time of the offence, but police say a fingerprint was recovered at the scene and used during the investigation.

Police allege Eichendorf is responsible for two other similar incidents on March 16 and May 27 in the same area.

He was released on bail with numerous conditions.

Eichendorf’s next court date on the voyeurism charges is scheduled for Dec. 20. He is scheduled to appear in court for election and plea on the child pornography charge on January 17, 2018.
