Trio of Cubs named to HJHL South Division All-Star Team

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Three players with the Medicine Hat Travelodge Cubs have been named to the Heritage Junior Hockey League’s South Division All-Star Team.

Defenceman Josh Schafer, along with forwards Noah Irvine and Quinten Karg, will all participate in this year’s All Star Game, which will take place on January 7.

Irvine is the Cubs’ top scorer so far this season, recording 13 goals and 12 assists in 20 games. In 21 games, Karg has two goals and 13 assists, while Schafer has two goals and 10 assists, and is the team’s highest scoring defenceman.

In addition to the game between the South Division and the North Division, there will also be a fastest skater competition.
