CHESTERMERE, AB – Offence didn’t come easy for the SEAC Midget 15 Tigers on Friday night, falling by a 5-1 count to the Rockyview Raiders.

Rockyview made it a 1-0 game just 1:08 into the first period, as Moe Hakim beat Tigers goaltender Nate Hoffman.

That Raiders lead was doubled to 2-0 just over three minutes later courtesy of Ethan McKibbin, putting another past Hoffman to keep Rockyview ahead.

With a little over 11 minutes to go in the first, Rockyview boosted their lead to 3-0 from defender Lucas Watkins.

SEAC struggled to get any pucks towards Raiders goalie Logan Grant, only registering a single shot in the opening 20 minutes of play.

It stayed a 3-0 game until the 11:00 minute mark of the second, as the Raiders got their fourth goal of the game off a deflected puck.

The Tigers finally got their first goal of the game with 3:01 remaining in the period, with Gavin Schroeder scoring unassisted to make it a 4-1 game heading to the intermission.

There would be no third period comeback from SEAC however, as Rockyview added a fifth goal with 5:57 remaining to pick up a 5-1 victory over the Tigers.

Hoffman faced 37 Raiders shots on Friday with 32 stops, while the Tigers were only able to register 13 shots on Rockyview.

Falling to a record of 2-13-1 on the season, the struggling Tigers are back at it on Saturday when they host the NWCAA Bruins at 2:30 pm in Brooks.

As for the Bantam AAA Tigers, they are on the road in Calgary on Saturday when they will face the Calgary AAA Flames at 7:45 pm.
