Marijuana advent calendars being sold in BC

Nov 26, 2017 | 10:29 AM

VANCOUVER, BC. – Health experts are raising concerns about a marijuana-filled version of a Christmas advent calendar currently being sold by a Vancouver-based cannabis company.

Lorilee Fedler of Coast to Coast Medicinals says she came up with the idea after seeing a boozy version, and has so far sold 150 calendars while another 15-hundred people are on a wait list.

But Rebecca Jesseman is with the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction says the calendars come with questions about dosage and whether the pot could be contaminated with mould or pesticides

Public health professor Mark Haden at the University of British Columbia says advent calendars also run the risk of appealing to children. (The Canadian Press)
