VANCOUVER — Forward Nikolay Goldobin was recalled by the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday from the American Hockey League.

Goldobin has led the AHL’s Utica Comets in scoring in this season with seven goals and 12 assists in 18 games played. He also shares the team lead in power-play goals with four.

The Moscow native has appeared in 23 career NHL games with Vancouver and the San Jose Sharks, scoring four times and adding an assist.

He was originally drafted 27th overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft by San Jose.

On the international stage, Goldobin represented Russia at the 2015 world junior championships, earning a silver medal.

The five-foot-11, 199-pound forward was acquired by the Canucks, alongside a conditional fourth round selection in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, in a trade with San Jose for Jannik Hansen on Feb. 28, 2017.
