Bandits acquire Pierre-Anthony Martineau from QJHL
BROOKS, AB – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have acquired the rights to 1997-born forward Pierre-Anthony Martineau (Magog, QC) from the Montreal-Est Rangers of the Quebec Junior Hockey League (QJHL) in exchange for future considerations, the team announced today.
Martineau, 20, began this season with the New Jersey Rockets of the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC), where he recorded 12 points (5 goals, 7 assists) in 19 games played.
Last year, he began the season with the Palm Beach Hawks of the USPHL, scoring 47 points (25 goals, 22 assists) in 24 games, before joining the Cobras for their run to the RBC Cup. He scored 25 points (11 goals, 14 assists) in 18 regular season games, adding 9 points (3 goals, 6 assists) in 16 playoff games, was second on the team in scoring at the Fred Page Cup regional championship with 6 points (2 goals, 4 assists) in 4 games, and added 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) in 5 games at the RBC Cup.
Prior to that, the 6’2”, 195lb forward spent two years in the QJHL with Vaudreuil-Dorion and Sherbrooke, recording 91 points in 102 games.
