Hounds complete comeback, defeat Calgary over weekend

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Can Pak Environmental Midget AA Hounds were comeback kids over the weekend.

Taking on the Calgary Royals Athletic Association Blue on Saturday, the Hounds came back to tie the game during the second period, and came away with a 4-3 victory at the Centennial Arena in Brooks.

Calgary was ahead 2-0 at the end of the first period, but Jacob Milne got the Hounds on the board early in the second. While Calgary sounds found the scoreboard again, Grant Forbes and Ethan Boutkan tied the game for the Hounds in the second.

Finally, with 7:10 left in the third period, Zachary Dovichak found the back of the net, completing the comeback.

Dawsen Savage made 29 saves through the game.

No scoring information was available for Calgary on the SCAHL website.

The Hounds return to action at home on Saturday, hosting the CBHA Blackhawks on Saturday at the Kinplex. The puck drops at 4:45 p.m.
