Nov 17, 2017 | 10:49 AM

LAC LA BICHE, AB – RCMP is on the hunt for a murder suspect and a missing woman after a man was found dead in a residential area of Lac La Biche.

Police responded to reports of gunshots on 102 Ave on October 28. When they arrived they found Michael Matthew Mountain, 26, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, but died of his injuries.

Police say there is a connection between Mountain and Lloyd Wesley Boudreau, 22. Boudreau is a Lac La Biche resident who now faces first degree murder charges in relation to Mountain’s death.

Investigators believe Boudreau may be travelling with Mandi Leigh Boucher, 25, from the Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement. Boucher was reported missing the same day Mountain’s body was found.

Police are following up on tips that the pair have been seen in Lac La Biche and three other Alberta communities – St. Paul, Boyle and Edmonton.

Mounties believe Boudreau may be armed and dangerous, and warn the public not to approach him. Instead, they ask the public to call police immediately if Boudreau is spotted.

Boudreau is described as a Metis man with black hair and brown eyes. He is approxmately 5’6″ and 188 pounds and has tattoos on his neck and the right side of his face.

Boucher may be in his company – she is described as a 5’1″ Metis woman with brown hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lac La Biche RCMP or Crimestoppers.
