MEDICINE HAT, AB — A local organization is hosting a memorial next week to honour those who have lost their lives to overdoses.
The Medicine Hat Drug Coalition is hosting Flags of Hope on Nov. 16 in the Crowfoot room at Medicine Hat College. The memorial event gives those impacted by an overdose of a loved one the opportunity to create flags in memory of that person. The flags will be displayed throughout the year to honour those lost.
Material to create the flags will be provided on site. The event is free to attend.
In addition to the flag making, there will also be naloxone training provided.
