LETHBRIDGE, AB — A wind chill approaching minus 20 degrees didn’t freeze the Hat High Mohawks chance at a South Zone Championship Tuesday night.
Lachlan Hardiker and Tanner Winter collected touchdowns as the senior boys earned the championship banner with a 15-4 victory over Catholic Central High School at the University of Lethbridge.
It’s the second year in a row the Mohawks take the coveted prize. They’ll now represent the South Zone at the ASAA Provincial quarter-finals Saturday in Okotoks against the Foothills Falcons.
