Moving to a 5-0 record, the Rattlers continue to sit in first place in the ACAC’s South Division standings.

Winners of three straight games, the Rattlers men’s team looked to keep up their strong offensive play in the late game versus the Broncos.

The Rattlers spread out their offence in the first quarter with seven players finding the score sheet, but were only able to take a 16-15 lead over Olds into the second quarter.

Aaron Cameron’s 10 points and strong rebound play gave Medicine Hat a sizable lead in the second, but a pair of three-pointers from Olds late in the quarter cut the deficit to 36-32.

Entering the second half the Rattlers seemed to hit almost every shot they took, opening up 62-46 lead over the Broncos thanks to a pair of threes from Cameron.

Olds began to chip away at Medicine Hat’s lead in the fourth quarter with 14 points from Paolo de Soto-Parente, but came up short with the Rattlers hanging on for a 79-69 win.

Cameron scored a team-high 27 points for the Rattlers, while Jon Sappleton and Osato Obaseki also picked up double-doubles.
