Alberta man dies in Kindersley collision

KINDERSLEY, SASK. — An Alberta man is dead following a motor vehicle collision near Kindersley Thursday morning.

According to an RCMP news release, members of the Kindersley and Kerrobert RCMP were called to a grid road north of Kindersley at 6:55 a.m.

Initial investigation has determined a semi and a pickup truck collided at an intersection. The driver of the pickup truck, a 38-year old man from Alberta, was pronounced dead at the scene. The man’s name and his hometown have not been released.

The driver of the semi was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Weather and road conditions were not a factor, according to RCMP.

The road will remain closed for much of the day while the investigation is ongoing. A RCMP traffic reconstructionist in on the scene.
