MEDICINE HAT, AB — Six days away from action couldn’t come at a better time for the Medicine Hat Tigers.

After being outscored 13-1 against two of the top teams in the CHL over the weekend, the squad is resting and practicing up in hopes of returning to their winning ways on Friday.

The team admits there are a lot of areas they need to clean up, especially in the defensive zone, but are also adament about a few positives from the weekend.

One being the return of top-line forward Max Gerlach, who missed most of last month with head and neck injuries after being slashed in the mouth on Oct. 7.

Gerlach spoke to CHAT Sports this week to discuss his return to the line up, the types of positives the Tigers can take away from the weekend, and how playing with a full cage differs from a regular visor. Plus rookie defenceman Joel Craven, the son of former Tiger Murray Craven, discusses his first three games in the WHL and how it feels to follow in his father’s footsteps.
