MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers stood no chance against the high-powered offence of the CHL’s fourth best team Friday night.

Tanner Jeannot found the net four times, captain Brett Howden scored a pair, and the Moose Jaw Warriors trampled the Central Division leading Tabbies 9-1 at the Canalta Centre.

Tigers captain Mark Rassell scored the home team’s lone goal, late in the first period to cut M.J.’s lead to 2-1.

From then on, Moose Jaw found their scoring touch despite being outshot 35-23 to improve their record to 11-4-0-0.

Jayden Halbgewachs, Justin Almeida, and Oleg Sozunov also lit the lamp for the Warriors, while Brayden Burke took home three helpers. Almeida also collected a trio of assists to give him a four point performance.

Not to go unnoticed was the performance of Warriors netminder Brody Willms, who stopped 34 of 35 shots cast his way for his ninth win of the year.

Michael Bullion was held in net for all nine goals, stopping 14 of 23 shots fired his way. The Tigers take on the Swift Current Broncos Saturday night at the Credit Union i-plex, who lost just their second game in regulation of the season to the Saskatoon Blades on Friday.

Medicine Hat, now boasting an 8-5-0-0 record, remain first place in the Central Division with 16 points — two points up on Lethbridge and Red Deer.
