UPDATE: Rattlers soccer teams eliminated from ACAC Championship

OLDS, AB — The Medicine Hat College Rattlers have officially been eliminated from the ACAC Soccer Championships.

In the first game of the Women’s Championship tournament hosted at Olds College, the Rattlers were defeated 2-1 by the Concordia Thunder

Rebecca Leavall scored for the Thunder first at the 16 minute mark, and added the second goal at the 67 minute mark.

Meagan Clarke put the Rattlers on the board with nine minutes left to play, but the team was unable to tie up the game as time expired.

Daragh O’Fuarthain was named player of the game for the Rattlers following the game.

The men’s team also losing by one goal in their first game, dropping a 3-2 decision to the NAIT Ooks in Sherwood Park in the ACAC men’s championship.

Ali Musse scored two goals for the Ooks, with Armando Garcia adding a late insurance goal. Rodrigo Tavares and Mark Elson had the goals for the Rattlers.

Tavares was also named player of the game for the Rattlers.
