Outdoor movie playing at Kin Coulee Park, collecting food bank donations.

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Park After Dark is playing a evening movie Saturday, October 21 at 6:30 P.M. in Kin Coulee park .

Organizer Megan Nunweiler said said they are excited to feature The Nightmare Before Christmas on an outdoor screen. She encourages everyone to come to the family friendly event.

“It’s free to the public, it is to benefit the food bank so donations are greatly appreciated,” she said.

Nunweiler went on to explain along with the movie showing, there is also a costume contest taking lace before the movie showing. There will be 6 different categories for spectators to enter, the judging will happen at 6:15 P.M.

The forecast is looking favorable for the outdoor movie event said Nunweiler.

“It’s supposed to be about 8 degrees.  It’s supposed to be sunny all day, I don’t think to much wind, pretty much a nice day all in all for a fall evening,” she explained.

She advises that spectators due dress for the outdoor conditions, suggesting people bring blankets, warm jackets and chairs to enjoy the event.
