MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Great West Home and Leisure show returns to the Cypress Centre this weekend.

The annual trade show put on by the Medicine Hat and District Chamber of Commerce, officially got underway on noon Friday.

There are over 100 different vendors this year ranging from home furnishings and decor, to entertainment and food.

New to the Home and Leisure show this year is the Rec Room.

The area is filled with some of the latest and greatest toys and gadgets for kids and adults alike.

Also new is the Farm To Fork Ag-Education Centre.

The area will highlight how food is grown and raised and will feature some farm animals including cows, chickens and goats.

“We’re trying to bring the AG industry into the show a little bit and bring in some of the aspects of how does food get from the farmer onto the table,” explained Paula Stodalka with the Chamber. “[There’s also] a pumpkin patch, and a mini farmers market and each day there will be new exhibitors in there.”

Admission is $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for seniors or students and children 11 and under are free.

The trade show runs all weekend.
